Resumen: The general objective of this research is to develop a visual product that represents the identity of the deaf subject, serving as support for deaf teachers in the creation of videos aimed at the development of deaf children. Its specific objectives are: to investigate the role of the deaf teacher in the production of visual material in Libras; to reflect on the importance of considering aspects specific to childhood when producing materials for deaf children; to present a proposal for teaching text production in sign language and the curricular component of adjectives; to develop, as an educational product, a guide for the production of videos, considering technical and pedagogical aspects. To support our discussion, we used authors from the field of deaf studies in education, who do not understand the deaf from the perspective of the absence of hearing, but consider them from the perspective of difference. Thus, based on Quadros (2016) and Perlin (2003), we will discuss the themes of deaf culture, deaf identity and deaf protagonism/authorship. Moran (2010) discusses the importance of using videos in the classroom, highlighting their relevance as a pedagogical resource. According to Bakhtin (2010), texts, whether written or visual, are always in dialogue with other texts. In this context, deaf children can create and produce new texts using sign language and visual resources. The exploratory research aims to understand and experiment with different possibilities in understanding a phenomenon. We hope that this research will help teachers to better understand sign language through the production of videos in Libras.
