Summary: This study on environmental education aims to discuss and map teaching strategies on environmental education performed by communities and social movements from Viana. The subjects of this history and participants of this research are activist women from Viana and residents of the Marcílio de Noronha neighborhood. The goal of this dissertation is to discuss and register the practices of environmental education as well as the community relationships that are affective, ecological, political and pedagogical on behalf of preserving the Formate River. The research is based on the biographies and narratives of the residents of Marcílio de Noronha and the “escrevivências” of a group of women from social movements of Viana. This study justifies itself for allowing social groups that are historically oppressed to give their own narrative of their experiences and re-existences while seeking new forms of interactions based on community relationships and solidarity, seeking to transform their local reality. That is why we have turned to Paulo Freire’s contribution as a theoretical and methodological focus (2017a, 2017b) to conduct this research; with the author Reigota (2010, 2012) we committed with the environmental education as a political education; and with Alves (2019) we thought about the thinking practitioners in daily life. The black feminists as Ribeiro (2019a, 2019b); Carneiro (2019); hooks (2013, 2019b); Evaristo (2016, 2018) and Jesus (2014) were important e to discuss about the re- existences of women in face of the patriarchal, racial, chauvinistic and gender oppressions. In this study, we dialogue the research methodology with the daily life, with approximations of the cartographic research and the narrative ones. In terms of data production, we used the field diary, the narratives, the “escrevivências”, photographs and loving dialogues (FREIRE, 2017b) with the subjects of the subjects of this history and participants of this research. With regard to the final product, we produced a fascicle of un submissive ecologies practiced by the women that engaged with the social movements of Viana.
