Summary: Information and communication technologies (ICTs) are part of the daily life of the vast majority of young students of Basic Education, thus becoming powerful possibilities for the teaching-learning process. In this sense, the present research proposes to map teaching methodological alternatives, unveiling the knowledge and actions of Geography teachers about the possibilities and potentialities of the use of ICTs in the teaching of school Geography. To do so, supported by the research approach of oral history, we seek narratives from teachers working in Basic Education in the public municipal and state schools in the municipality of Cariacica-ES. The objective was to give visibility to the teaching practices tested and implemented in the classroom, focusing on understanding the strategies and tactics used by these professionals to overcome the difficulties and obstacles encountered. The research reveals that, in addition to the difficulties imposed by the reality of the public school, in our state and country, ICTs are part of the daily social and school life of the vast majority of students, presenting themselves with a potential contribution to social inclusion. Therefore, it is highlighted in the varied narratives possibilities pointed out by teachers about the use of new technologies in the teaching of Geography and for the school in general.
