Summary: This dissertation aims to understand the implementation process of the School Management System in the municipal education network of Vila Velha/ES and to analyze the critical evaluation of professionals from the teaching units about the aforementioned policy in carrying out the pedagogical administrative work of schools. SGE computer program idealizes and develops in the municipal public sphere, in a
democratic way, with the presence of school community with a pedagogical and administrative look that could meet the demands and needs of the municipality. This happens without the participation, contracting or purchase of a service or private consultancy. It understands SGE as a computer program that enables data integration
and it provides information in a single environment, making it more accessible to the school community. It develops research in five elementary education units of Vila Velha/ES Education System, each one administrative region of the municipality and it adopts as technical the participants from the municipal education department like system programmers, managers, pedagogues, coordinators and teachers. It seeks theorical dialogues with the concept of administration and school management in Paro, Libâneo, Sander, Chiavenato in addition to discussions on technologies; the internet and its insertions the educational field in authors like Castells and Lévy. Methodologically, it focuses on the assumptions of qualitative research, of the case
study and it adopts the following procedures: i) requesting the competent bodies to carry out the research; ii) document consulting; iii) conducting interviews; iv) quiz application. As a result, it has seen that SGE implementation policy begins in the municipal network of Vitoria/ES and it expands to the municipal education Vila Velha ́s system through a partnership. Besides, SGE brought greater dynamism and transparency to the organizational practices of schools and the teaching network in
Vila Velha/ES and it demands investments in teacher training and availability of technological resources and internet for better use of the tool in the administrative and
pedagogical work of schools.
