Summary: This research is linked to the Professional Postgraduate Program in Education - PPGPE, from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, in the research line: Teaching and Management of Educational Processes. Its theme addresses a study of the intermezzo between desire, reading and text production of students in the ninth year of Elementary School, in a school in the municipality of Serra – ES. Its central intentionality seeks to understand how students are affected by the action of desire and how desire is produced within them. A second intention seeks to understand what brings the school curriculum closer and what distances it from the production of the desire of students and teachers and how students and teachers, sensitized by what it brings together, can together take on the confrontation of what distances it in favor of the production of collective desire. Its third and final intention is to produce an album of narratives with the subjects involved, highlighting possible encounters/movements that, in the course of the research, drive the production of the desire to read and produce text. His theoretical framework dialogues sometimes with Deleuze, sometimes with Freire, mediated by the problematic field of research, without any attempt at approximation or comparisons between the two, making use of their theories based on Deleuze's discussion of theory as a “toolbox”. Its methodology is a cartography of the processes involved in the meetings woven into the daily school life of its thinking practitioners related to the intermezzo between desire, reading and text production, producing data from conversations in fortnightly meetings – February to May/2024 – in the discipline Portuguese language and in everyday school life. As an Educational Product, it focuses on student Narrative Albums, with emphasis on Recreational Tales, which appear by chance during the research. Aware of the unpredictability of research results, it is expected that it will contribute to the development of reading and text production in Elementary Education; that provides teaching with a better understanding of the challenges faced by students and that encourages the creation of new possibilities.
