Summary: This dissertation aimed to analyze the culture circle as an anti-racist pedagogical practice in high school in the Portuguese Language discipline at EEEFM Domingos José Martins, a school that receives students from the Graúna quilombola community. The concerns that emerged early in the research led us to carry out an anti-racist practice, thinking of a methodology that would promote respect for others based on confessional narratives, recognizing and valuing the ethnic group present in the school environment. In this sense, we adopted a qualitative research approach, with a diagnostic questionnaire and capture of narratives in conversation circles, whose methodological design led to exploratory action research and also to discourse analysis. As a result, we explored the confessional narratives of students at EEEFM Domingos José Martins and created a didactic sequence in the digital format of a culture circle and also a podcast with the narratives shared in the circles. From this, the research revealed the effectiveness of the culture circle in promoting quilombola and non-quilombola identity, especially in reducing racial prejudices among students.
